We hope this site serves as a source for Moore County information, helps to promote our local businesses, and gives you some insight into our small community. Most of all, we want you to come for a visit. Lynchburg is a tiny town in the second smallest county in Tennessee. We are proud of our historic legacy, our neighborly spirit and we are eager to share our little treasure with you.
Granted, most people come to Lynchburg for the first time to take the tour of JACK DANIEL'S DISTILLERY, the oldest registered distillery in the USA. If you take the time to stay a little longer, you will discover an old fashioned town, the likes of which you may have thought no longer existed.
A charming town square surrounds the 100-year-old courthouse. You will soon be browsing through a variety of unique shops. No need to hurry, just stop and chat awhile. Life moves at a slower pace in a town with one traffic light.
Lynchburg is located within a comfortable drive from Nashville, TN, Chattanooga, TN or Huntsville, AL. It is well worth the drive to see our beautiful hillsides and visit with friendly people! Come to Lynchburg/Moore County and "drink in" the sweet country air, taste some hometown cooking, and stay for one of our many festivals.
